Ulema and Mashaikh call for action against disbelievers who violate sanctity of Masjid-e-Nabvi (SAWW)
Ulemas and Mashaikhs from all schools of thought have urged those concerned to take action against the disbelievers for violating the sanctity of Masjid-e-Nabvi (SAWW).
In a statement released today (Sunday), they said those who desecrated the Prophet’s Mosque have tarnished the image of Pakistan across the world.
Regarding the letter of the former minister of human rights, Dr Shireen Mazari, written to the United Nations special rapporteurs against the misuse of the law on blasphemy, the ulema and the mashaikh said that if the law on blasphemy is misused, there are national courts and institutions to deal with the problem.
They said Shireen Mazari’s letter would strengthen anti-blasphemy and anti-religion forces around the world.
They appealed for Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan to ask him to withdraw the letter in the national interest.
They said the unruly crowd violated the sanctity of Masjid-e-Nabvi with systematic planning that had not happened in 100 years of history.
The Ulema and Mashaikh said the nation expects Imran Khan and the PTI to openly condemn this shameful incident.
They said political differences should not lead to revenge and hatred.
They added that it is regrettable that holy sites are being targeted under the guise of political differences and a malicious campaign is being launched against the Pakistani military.
They said no one would be allowed to abuse the blasphemy law in the country and welcomed the steps taken by the Prime Minister in this regard.
The ulema and mashaikh included the Chairman of the Ulema Council of Pakistan, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Maulana Dr Abu Bakar Siddique, Allama Abdul Haq Mujahid, Qazi Matiullah Saeedi, Maulana Asadullah Farooq and others.
