Metallica pays tribute to Chris Cornell with vinyl Club release

Metallica honored the late Chris Cornel with their latest Vinyl Club release that subscribers received this month.
The 7-inch vinyl featured live Soundgarden covers of “All Your Lies” and “Head Injury” which Metallica performed on “I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell” in January 2019.
Vicky Cornell issued a statement on the release saying, “Thank you very much to Metallica for the love and appreciation you have shown for Chris and for commemorating that love, admiration and support for your performances during the tribute “I Am the Highway” on this truly amazing and special vinyl. Joining the tribute concert meant so much to me and my kids and to so many fans around the world… And I know how proud Chris would be, not just because you were there as friends but also because he was a huge fan of Metallica. Thank you very much and thank you Lars for your very kind words about Chris. It is true that “a man is not dead as long as her name is still spoken. ”Thank you for continuing to honor her.
As previously stated, the Metallica Vinyl Club is open to members of the fifth member’s fan club and costs $ 49.99 / year to join. As a member, you receive a personalized membership card, four 7-inch vinyl records, and a selection of outings throughout the year, including various collectibles such as stickers, picks, and posters.
Cornell’s release marks the fourth 7 “vinyl to be released in Vinyl Club’s first year. It is not yet clear whether the Vinyl Club will continue for a second year or not.
