Metallica, Green Day reserved for Global Citizen Live 2021

Metallica and Green Day are among a stacked list of more than 30 artists who will perform at the Global Citizen Live 2021 concert.

Through Citizen of the World website, the 24-hour broadcast will take place on Saturday, September 25 and will air simultaneously on a number of broadcast channels and internet platforms, including ABC, BBC, FX, ABC News Live, YouTube, Twitter and Hulu.

The 2021 Global Citizen Live concert will have several venues around the world in the following cities: Lagos, Rio de Janeiro, New York, Paris, London, Seoul, Los Angeles and Sydney. The purpose of the concert is to raise awareness about the issues of global poverty and climate change affecting the entire planet.

In addition to Metallica and Green Day, other artists confirmed for the massive gig include Adam Lambert, Alessia Cara, Andrea Bocelli, Angélique Kidjo, Billie Eilish, BTS, Burna Boy, Camila Cabello, Christine and the Queens, Coldplay, Davido, Demi Lovato, DJ Snake, Doja Cat, Duran Duran, Ed Sheeran, Femi Kuti, ELLE, Hugh Jackman & Deborra-lee Furness, Keith Urban, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Lorde, Rag’n’Bone Man, Ricky Martin, Shawn Mendes , The Lumineers, The Weeknd, Tiwa Savage and Usher.
