Meshuggah’s US Winter 2022 Tour with Converge and Torch to Not Go as Planned Due to a “Skin Condition” suffered by one of the band members, causing dates now set for September to be postponed. and October.

Converge, unfortunately, will not be part of the newly announced series and its replacement will be revealed at a later date. Torch, however, will remain on view for all 19 dates.

The veteran Swedish group released a statement on social media in tandem with the new tour itinerary and offered an explanation for the postponement. Meshuggah admitted that the ongoing pandemic had thrown “various curved balls” at them which extended the completion of follow-up until 2016 The violent sleep of reason, but said medical issues forced them to postpone the initial February and March getaway.

Citing physical health as a priority, Meshuggah noted that an undisclosed member of the band “was currently undergoing medical treatment related to a skin condition on his hands, preventing him from rehearsing and playing his instrument overall.” .

They also underlined their optimism about the recovery of this anonymous musician.

Read the full statement directly below and check out the new set of tour dates further down the page. Previously purchased tickets will be honored for the respective new dates and, if you have already purchased a ticket and have a question, that question can be directed to your ticket supplier.

Loudwire wishes the ailing member of Meshuggah a speedy and full recovery.

We regret to inform you that Meshuggah will have to postpone his American tour, initially scheduled for early 2022, to September / October 2022.

While the ongoing pandemic has thrown various curve balls at us throughout the past year, ultimately delaying the completion of Meshuggah’s upcoming studio album – there are other concerns that have forced us to make this unfortunate decision. The determining factor is the need to prioritize the physical health of one of the band members who are currently undergoing medical treatment related to a skin condition on their hands, preventing them from rehearsing and playing their instrument.

While we are optimistic about his future recovery, we know it won’t be possible for him and the band to be ready to perform already in February 2022.

These shows are now on the move, unfortunately Converge will no longer be able to tour. However, we are grateful that Torche continues to play with us. Another special guest to replace Converge and complete Bill is to be announced.

Tickets will remain valid from the original dates, please contact your ticket supplier with any questions.
