The “Metal Tour of the Year” is back for the second time with an American stage booked for the spring with co-headliners Megadeth and Lamb of God alongside special guests Trivium and In Flames.

The inaugural stage was originally scheduled for 2020, but the pandemic forced a postponement until 2021 and the race finally began last summer, although Hatebreed was named as the first game after In Flames announced he would not be able to do so.

Now, the original “Metal Tour of the Year” lineup will come together for a 23 date getaway that begins April 9 in Las Vegas and ends May 15 in Allentown, Pa., After touring the country.

Check out the full list of tour dates at the bottom of the page and look for tickets and VIP packages to go on sale January 14 at 10 a.m. local time on this website.

“The ‘Metal Tour of The Year’ is exactly what it sounds like – an evening of some of the best heavy metal bands in the world – live and loud. Anyone who’s been to a show last year knows what I’m talking about, only this one will be even better. Don’t miss a thing, “Dave Mustaine commented in what will be a 2022 banner for Megadeth, as their long-awaited new album is due out at some point this year.

Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe exclaimed, “It was great going on the road on an amazing tour last summer with Megadeth, Trivium and Hatebreed so we thought about doing it again! We can’t wait to discover new cities with Megadeth, Trivium and In Flames, which we are happy to have for the second stop! “

“The Metal Tour of the Year was one of the strongest and most incredible Metal tours of all time – its namesake is just precise,” added Matt Heafy of Trivium. “How do you follow that up? By renewing it – even bigger, even better, and playing it wherever it hasn’t played in the first leg. MTOTYII – let’s do that.”

“We are delighted to finally be able to join our dear friends from Megadeth, Lamb of God and Trivium on this year’s Metal of the Year Tour! We can’t wait to get back on the road to America and see you all again. Don’t miss this tour, it’s a juggernaut, ”exclaimed Anders Fridén, frontman of In Flames.
