Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister continues his visit to the United States
NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM As part of the second day of the visit of Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Akan Rakhmetullin, meetings were held with representatives of the US State Department, Chamber of Commerce, international non-governmental organizations , human rights groups and think tanks.
During the talks, the Kazakh diplomat paid special attention to political and economic reforms in Kazakhstan. American partners, in turn, highly appreciated the commitment of the Kazakh side to continue democratic reforms, reads the official website of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the United States.
The NGO representatives welcomed the State’s desire for an open and constructive dialogue with civil society, which contributes to ensuring transparency in the investigation of the January events and the effective implementation of the reforms.
As Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, Rakhmetullin held talks with LYNC President Wade Cusack, Civilizations Exchange & Cooperation Foundation President Imam Mohamad Arafat and CEO of the National Coalition in Eurasian Jewish community support Mark Levin. He discussed the Kazakh model of inter-ethnic and inter-religious harmony and presented invitations to the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, scheduled for September 2022.
