Is science really better than faith? – Smithfield Time
Editor-in-Chief, The Smithfield Times:
The author of the book of Hebrews in the New Testament writes in chapter 11, verse 1 that âFaith is the substance of things hoped for and the proof of things not seen.
The faith of the Christian believer is based on several things, not on a blind faith that there is a God. This is how an atheist would treat unbelief in God. Things such as scriptures, fulfilled prophecies, archaeological finds, and secular history combined provide strong justification for a believer’s faith.
People say the scriptures were written by man. They exclude the fact that they are inspired by God. If they weren’t, why would Jesus come back to them so often and how come the prophets accurately predicted so many specific things about Jesus’ birth, death, resurrection, and troubles to come? in the world ?
Jesus says in Luke 12:51: âDo you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? I’m not telling you at all, but rather the division. Yet he is called the Prince of Peace. Most would view this as an inconsistency. Not to those who study the Bible.
What He is referring to is the division of people because of the influence of Satan in their lives and that the Word of God is “the sword of the Spirit” as stated in Ephesians 6:17 which separates the truth from the lies of the world.
So let’s follow the science here. Many scientists disagree on many topics, including climate change and dealing with the COVID-19 virus, believe it or not, although they all have the same scientific “facts” and objective evidence. How is that possible if they all read the same evidence?
It seems to me that those who subscribe to humiliating Christians and the Word of God have not appreciated the presence of Jesus in their hearts.
We are far from perfect, but we know that we will have to be held accountable for what we have done, for good and for bad. For those who think that life on this earth is hell, they are sorely mistaken. They might want to invest in an asbestos suit as it will be very hot at their next destination when they leave here.
