Enter the fire | Sweetwater NOW
Baptism is a natural ritual that demonstrates spiritual reality. Your faith consumes your life. If your life is enough to overwhelm your faith, it’s time to find some real God given faith.
Matthew 13: 45-46 (NLT) “Once again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls. 46 When he found a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!
What did the merchant know? The merchant found something that was worth more than anything. In fact, he found ONE thing that was worth EVERYTHING. What is worth all? Have you ever had the idea that ONE thing could be worth EVERYTHING?
Are you looking for something and you don’t know what it is? When we are honest with ourselves, we will have to admit that something VERY important is missing in our lives.

What is your research?
Luke 3:16 (NLT) John answered their questions by saying, “I baptize you with water; but someone soon arrives who is taller than me, so much taller that I am not even worthy to be his slave and to untie the thongs of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.
John was on a mission. John has spent his life searching for a savior. It was literally his God-given mission. He spent the days of his adult life calling people to follow God. He challenged their unloving and unworthy behavior. Every day he preached, “Return to God. Prove it through baptism and be ready for God’s response.
But, John was also looking for something, or rather, someone. Each baptism was special for John, but he was waiting for a specific baptism. The one who caused something unique. He knew that when that ONE baptism would come, he would see God come down on that person. He probably didn’t really know what to expect. Either way, he knew he would know when it happened.
So you can spend your life searching. But do you know what you are looking for? You believe you will know it when you find it. You may have even “tried” Jesus, but it didn’t work. Well, John didn’t know Jesus was the answer he was looking for until he did what Jesus told him to do. AND, he didn’t want to do it. He didn’t want to baptize Jesus.
Lamentations 1:13 (NLT) He sent a fire from heaven that burns in my bones …
What is the consumption of your life? What is the fire that is eating you? What do you expect for your faith? Comfort? Hope? Love? Amusing? Power? … But… Fire? I think the fire looks exciting. I think the fire seems unpredictable. What if you were saved for FIRE? What if a fiery life was right on the other side doing what Jesus told you to do?
What do you share?
Acts 2: 32-33 (NLT) “God raised Jesus from the dead, and we are all witnesses. 33 Now he’s elevated to the highest place of honor in the heavens, at the right hand of God. And the Father, as he promised, gave him the Holy Ghost to pour out on us, as you see and hear today.
Jesus was on a mission. Jesus gave his life to save us. He has spent his life SHARE real life with us. Of course, He shared the truth with us. His message and descriptions. His kingdom established an entirely new paradigm for life. He taught us to live as citizens of His NEW Kingdom. He taught us to live as free Sons and Daughters of God.
Proverbs 11:17 (NLT) Your kindness will reward you, but your cruelty will destroy you.
We all share something. Unfortunately, when we rely on our own resources, we end up with a lot of “gross” and “pitiful” things. We then find ourselves sharing from a place of lack and discontent. Soon anger, fear, and punishment-oriented thinking appear. Do we really want to share for lack? Without fear?
What if something NEW is at the source of your life? What if you could replace fear, anger, insecurity, loss, etc. by… love, hope, joy, gentleness, kindness and patience? What if you could not only fill the voids in your life and heart with them, but also share them with others?
What if the Holy Spirit made you a ray of “SON” in that dark place?
Submerge Your Life With Real Faith
Hebrews 12: 28-29 (NIV) Therefore, since we receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be grateful and therefore worship God in an acceptable manner with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”
No need to shake anymore. The Father sharing his life with us gives us a NEW way of living. You don’t have to live by what you can see or experience from the clay house you live in. You now share WHO is Jesus, and O is Jesus. You exist in two places at the same time. You live in heaven and exist on earth. All because Jesus is in you and you are in Him. (Col 1:27; 3: 1)
Does it take a while to get used to? Do you have a lot to learn? YOU BET!
So what is it that consumes you? To worry? Fear? Your problems? I do not reject them. I’m just saying God is greater than them. Wait, God will show Himself. Jesus is going to do something that you never expected. How can I know? He said he would. He said he saves those who call on him.
Submerge your circumstances!
Yes, that ONE thing is your true faith in Jesus and your journey WITH Jesus, HOWEVER,… Many have started a life of faith and have never really gone anywhere. MANY have strayed from their faith. Others have become PRACTICAL ATHES because their faith has little or no influence on their daily existence. They come to God only when they need it and miss the miracles of following Jesus on a daily basis.
Either your life will overwhelm your faith. or your faith will overwhelm your life. Either your situation will cause you to question God, or your God will make you question your situation.
What if your big problems were just an opportunity for a BIGGER miracle?
